705In 1911, the Duck Fountain endowed by Max Cassirer in Hardenbergstrasse in Charlottenburg was the first of the sculptur, August Gaul's works to be erected in the Berlin city area. He also made a Cygnet Fountain for Max Cassirer (today at Kurfürstendamm/corner of Leibnizstr. in Berlin). Posthumously, the gravestones Gaul had made for Max and Alfred Cassirer were erected in the cemetery in Heerstrasse, Berlin (although Max Cassirer's grave has been reutilised since Max died in London).
