Note the source is ambiguous saying that Henry Solomon was married by Matilda101 (p.17) and by Matha105 (p. 4). Elsewhere Matha is said to have married Nathan Solomon (Slomon)106 (p. 17). The latter is taken to be correct here, but subject to confirmation. He had 10 children.
Henry Solomon spent 16 years as Chief of Police in Brighton and was eventually murdered by John Lawrence who was publicly hanged for the crime at Horsham on 6 April 1844.107
